What is a Sticky Casino Bonus?
Sticky casino bonuses are also known as non-cashable bonuses or play bonuses. Sticky bonuses are money that is deposited into your account with which to play only. You cannot cash out a sticky casino bonus.
Sticky Casino Bonus Restrictions Sticky bonuses still have wagering requirements, but once you fulfill the wagering requirement and cash out, your bonus is removed from your account. In other words, if you are awarded a 100% match deposit bonus up to $100, you will now have $200 with which to play. If you then play and double your winnings, you will have $300 in your account including the $100 bonus, the $100 deposit and the $100 winnings. You can then choose to withdraw $200 from your account. You cannot withdraw the $100 bonus and that amount is forfeited once you make a withdrawal. Generally, you are not restricted in what games you can play when you are playing with a sticky bonus.
Betting to your Advantage with Sticky Casino Bonuses Because you cannot withdraw your sticky bonus and the amount is forfeited if you make a withdrawal, you are unlikely to win enough if you only ever make minimum bets. Likewise, if you only break even, you will not make the same amount of money as you can with cashable bonuses. In order to make decent money with sticky bonuses, you need to place big bets. In other words, you can either win big or bust - playing conservatively will generally make you no money at the end of the day.
Common Betting Strategies with Sticky Casino Bonuses There are two common betting strategies that can be used with sticky casino bonuses. The first strategy suggests that you bet half to all of your money in one hand. If you lose, you lose it all, but if you win, you then grind it down with small bets. If you win one out of three hands using this strategy, you will be up in money. This sticky casino bonus wagering strategy is good if you are out to win; if you enjoy the fun of the game, you may find that it is over too quickly.
The other strategy says that you should bet 1/5 to 1/7 of your money on each hand. If you win, bet 1/5 on the next hand and if you lose, bet 1/7. Carry on in this way until you have met the wagering requirement and have come out ahead.
Advice for Accepting and Wagering Sticky Bonuses If your bankroll is less than $2,000 it is a good idea to ignore all sticky casino bonuses. Play with cashable bonuses until you have built up your bankroll enough to be able to take the risks that sticky bonuses require. If your bankroll is between $2,000 and $4,000, only play sticky casino bonuses of at least 100% match to your deposit. Additionally, you should aim to win double the value of the bonus.
If your bankroll is between $4,000 and $6,000, only accept bonuses of at least 100% match to your deposit and aim to win four times your total deposit (deposit plus bonus).
